
I actually had my best 10 minute meditation session ever. I figured out a really comfortable floor pillow arrangement and posture. After a few more successes I’ll post it.
Meditation tip: focusing on your breath doesn’t mean you should breathe as hard as possible. I knew this already but I wasn’t practicing it. This time I tried to breathe as softly and evenly as possible and it was actually easier to focus on the moment to moment sensation of breathing. My guess is that it’s like the stage trick of speaking quietly so the audience really listens.
Of course, since it was going so well my mind started narrating all over the place: “This is totally going in my blog! Damn! That I thought about blogging while meditating is totally going in my blog… DAMMIT!!!
Here’s the full report for today:
- Get up before 9am: 8:58 am
- Do at least 1 significant task to create passive income: Set up a online print store for my artwork. More on this when it’s a bit more mature.
- Exercise daily: It’s really cold outside so I just ran for 15 minutes on the street and did some push ups and crunches inside.
- Meditate Daily: 10 minutes, good.
- Daily drawing or artwork: I had to retouch some photos with my Wacom to do goal 2, plus the doodle above.
- Blog daily: yep
- Eat less than 2500 calories a day (I leave off calorie-less things like black coffee and tea):
- Breakfast
- Small scone at Pete’s Coffee: 321
- Lunch
- Seaweed salad: 100
- Pizza two slices thin crust: 800
- Dinner
- Wahoo’s fish burrito with side of beans: 1000
- Total: 2210 Calories
- Breakfast
- Give up beef this month: Where’s the beef?
- No more than 4 servings of alcohol this month: Still a teetotaler.
