29 day challenge: One week left

It’s often said that it takes 21 daily repetitions to forge a constructive habit. As far as I know this hasn’t been tested or proven, but it sure feels truthiful.

Yesterday was the best day yet. I completed all active goals except drawing by noon. Morning exercise then the best meditation session yet charged me up for the rest of the day.

The only downer was that I used one of my pho with beef allowances yesterday, and I didn’t really enjoy it. I may not be a beef eater anymore. It just weighed me down and made me feel sluggish. It shouldn’t be surprising since vegetarians and vegans often report feelings of lightness and sustained energy after giving up meat.

Lessons learned:

  • Finish your important tasks before noon.
  • Do the physical stuff like exercise first. It predisposes you for success with the brain-intensive tasks.
  • I might stop eating beef, though I might need to hit up a primo steak house first just to be sure. :)
