That’s a good question, you’d have to check with Amex. I’ve always been impressed with Amex. In Spain my pocket was picked. I had a new Amex card in a day. My other cards took a week.

My friend recently had her sunglasses stolen and Amex credited her, no questions asked.

The one thing you never ever want to do is use a debit card online or for big purchases. If something goes wrong putting money back in your account is really hard.

You get the same protection with Amex Blue, the no fee card (yay!) that lets you carry a balance (dangerous). Here’s the warranty info on Amex.com.

For theft or fire, everyone should have homeowners’ or renters’ insurance.

I’ve come to realize that AppleCare on a tower is retarded, but I always figured that on a laptop it made sense, if only for the screen replacement.

But I didn’t even think of AmEx! Haven’t had a card for years, since I hate paying fees, but I’m going to look into it. One year of AmEx is hella cheaper than AppleCare.
