I saw the FriendFeed application in a Facebook friend’s profile. It looked neat, kind of like the “Web pages I’m reading” widget in my sidebar.
When I tried to add it, this was the signup screen:
Hmmm, “who I am” and “my information” is a bit vague and all encompassing don’t you think?
Facebook’s problem is that we already know they can’t be trusted with our information thanks to the Beacon fiasco. Even though Gmail creator and known awesome dude Paul Buchheit built FriendFeed, it’s Facebook I can’t trust, no matter what their EULA says.
Of course if I was really serious about this I would delete my account right now, but then I wouldn’t be able to spew my Wordpress posts all over your mini-feeds would I? ;)
